Wrapping Up a Year of Progress

As 2024 comes to an end, December marked both the conclusion of significant milestones and the anticipation of exciting next steps for the CARS Project EU.

Completion of Teacher Training in Schools

This month saw the successful completion of teacher training sessions at Dimotiko Scholeio Agias Napas, a key partner school in Cyprus. Educators participated in hands-on workshops designed to integrate Augmented Reality (AR) into their language curricula. With newfound skills and knowledge, teachers are now equipped to guide their students in creating engaging AR stories that enhance language learning. See some pictures of the team in action here!

Looking ahead to February 2025, these trained teachers will pilot their learning scenarios in classrooms, turning theoretical knowledge into practical, interactive applications. A heartfelt thank you goes out to Stella Timotheou and Klaire Kuppas for their excellent coordination of these sessions.

Reflecting on 2024

As the year closes, we reflect on the incredible journey of the CARS Project EU. From the launch of teacher training sessions in Burgos to the integration of AR into schools, 2024 has been a year of collaboration, innovation, and progress. These milestones would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our partners, educators, and the wider community.

With pilot applications scheduled for early 2025, we’re excited to see AR learning scenarios in action. The coming year promises to bring even more opportunities for collaboration and creativity as we continue to empower students to become storytellers through augmented reality.
