Project Kick-Off and First Steps
January 2024
Earlier this month, the kick-off meeting for the CARS Erasmus+ Project [No. 2023-1-MT01-KA220-SCH-000154] was held in Malta. The meeting was well attended by members of the six organisations that constitute the CARS partnership. This meeting served as an opportunity for project partners to meet face-to-face, discuss work packages, activities, and establish important deadlines. Hosted by the University of Malta, the meeting also provided a chance for partners to get to know each other. We are thrilled to embark on this journey, shaping the use of AR as a medium for children to create and share their own stories as part of their language learning experience.Â
Throughout January, our team focused on creating foundational resources for the upcoming teacher training sessions. These resources are essential to help educators across Europe experience AR technology firsthand, preparing them to lead immersive storytelling activities in their classrooms. By empowering teachers to confidently integrate AR, we aim to enable students to craft their own unique language-rich AR stories.
We also shared highlights from our journey on social media, giving followers a glimpse into the collaborative spirit driving this project forward. Check out our Instagram post here to see moments from the kickoff and join us as we take our first steps in this exciting educational endeavour.
Stay tuned as we continue to develop innovative resources, inspiring teachers and students alike to explore the transformative potential of augmented reality in language learning.
